Sanbe-shizenkan

Sanbe Shizenkan (The Shimane Nature Museum of Mt. Sanbe) is a museum of natural history.
The museum was established at the foot of Mt. Sanbe in 1991 as an educational institution for the public to learn about nature of Shimane Prefecture and Mt. Sanbe and to understand the natural world and our place in it, and in addition, as a visitors’ center in the Mt. Sanbe area of Daisen-Oki National Park.

Mt. Sanbe stands in Ooda City, Shimane Prefecture, which lies on the north side of the western Japan. It is a dormant volcano, 1,126 meters above sea level, which is covered with rich green now.
